The Geo Festival in Levanto!

The Geo Festival in Levanto

The second edition of the Geo Festival will be held from April 11th to 14th, between two lovely villages on the eastern Italian Riviera: Levanto and Bonassola.

The word geography was created and then developed by Eratosthenes: his γῆ γραφία meant the description of the earth and is traditionally the science that studies the earth and all the phenomena around it. In Levanto none of its nuances and facets will be omitted: the geography of the earth, but also that of the sea, space and mind.

    The Geo Festival in Levanto

The 3rd edition

The festival originally dedicated to Matteo Vinzoni, a famous eighteenth-century local scientist, offers a wide selection of tourist activities, free afternoon conferences hosting several great names of modern geography and finally evening performances. A very cool program!

This season theme is utopia, as well as for the “”Storia in piazza” (i.e. history in the square) of Palazzo Ducale Foundation in Genoa, following the path started and spread by great geographer Massimo Quaini.
