For our standard rates, we make a pre-authorisation on your card one week before check-in, with no charge taken at that stage. With prepaid cards, the release of the pre-authorised amount may take up to 20 days, while with a standard credit card it is usually immediate. You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 5 days before check-in. Payment is due on arrival.
If you need to cancel or modify a standard-rate booking after the free cancellation deadline, we may offer you a voucher instead, according to the conditions of your booking.
For our discounted prepaid rates, payment is processed one hour after booking. If you need to cancel or postpone your trip, we will be happy to provide a voucher that you, your friends or your family may use once, for one single stay, by 31 December of the following year.

Staying in Vernazza
Vernazza is one of the most photographed villages in the Cinque Terre, and with good reason. It has the only natural harbour of the five villages, colourful houses, narrow caruggi, the sea-facing church of Santa Margherita d’Antiochia and the ancient Belforte above the small pier.
During the day, Vernazza can be very busy. In the morning and evening, however, it becomes much more intimate. This is when staying in the village makes the most sense: you can walk to the harbour before breakfast, reach the viewpoint before the crowds, or sit quietly after dinner when the village returns to itself.

A village to respect
Vernazza is beautiful, but it is also small and fragile.
Cars do not enter the village, daily life moves through narrow streets and stairways, and the territory around it is made of steep paths, dry-stone walls, vineyards and olive groves. This is part of what makes Vernazza so special, but it also means that travelling here requires a little awareness.
We always suggest moving by train, travelling light when possible and allowing yourself time. Vernazza is not a place to rush through. It is a place to enter slowly, with comfortable shoes, curiosity and respect for the people who live there all year round.
Visiting the Cinque Terre from Vernazza
Staying in Vernazza puts you directly inside the Cinque Terre.
From Vernazza station, you can easily reach Monterosso, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore by train. You can also explore the area on foot, using the official trails when they are open and safe.
One of the most beautiful ways to arrive in Vernazza is from the path coming from Corniglia, because the view over the village is unforgettable. You can also walk towards Monterosso, or climb inland towards the sanctuary of Reggio, vineyards, olive trees and a quieter side of the village.
